Our Story
Ron and his wife, Barbara, opened their first grocery store on January 4, 1976, in Pittsburg, Kansas. What began as a small local grocery store quickly grew into a trusted community business built on hard work, quality products, and friendly service.
Over the past 50 years, the Rhodes family has owned and operated grocery stores throughout Southeast Kansas and Missouri. Today, that tradition continues with store locations in Pittsburg, Kansas and Branson, Missouri. While the business has grown over the decades, it remains proudly family owned and operated, guided by the same values that shaped the company from the very beginning.
The Rhodes family has always believed that a great store starts with great people. Rhodes Family Price Chopper proudly serves customers in Branson, Missouri, while Ron’s Supermarket continues serving the Pittsburg, Kansas community where it all began.
